The Crystal Mill is one of if not the most photographed buildings in the state of Colorado. The mill known as the Sheep Mountain Power House was constructed in 1893 and sits precariously on rocks above the Crystal River. It is accessible by 4-wheel-drive vehicles only with high clearance on a rough, one lane road in summer and fall months. The property is privately owned by a gentleman in the town of Crystal. Make sure you stop by and sign a release form and give a donation to help upkeep on this beautiful old mill.
