Description
Off of the Columbia River are so many beautiful places to visit and photograph. The Oneonta Gorge being one of them. The first challenge is finding it. This gorge is not marked but fairly easy to find. There is a huge log jam one must climb over. I would not attempt the log jam in the rain as one slip and you would suffer a pretty good fall with possible serious consequences. Once past the log jam there is about a half mile hike to a beautiful one hundred foot waterfall. The fern and plants along the wall literally glow from the light. There is a constant dripping of water all along the walls. A gorgeous place to visit. We went the end of April 2015 and the water was ice cold!
