The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. I've hiked the Zion Narrows many times. The beauty never ceases to amaze me. When I've gone I usually spend around twelve hours hiking and photographing. It's an amazing place especially when the narrow glows from the late afternoon sun.
